At its sites in Australia and south-east Asia, Coogee Chemicals employs over 200 personnel.

SENIOR MANAGEMENT GROUP

Phil Thick, B.Eng (Hons) FAICD - CEO and Director
Phil Thick was appointed as an independent non-executive director in 2007 and took over as CEO in August 2008. He holds an honours degree in civil engineering from the University of Western Australia.
Phil worked as an engineer for Alcoa Australia Limited for 5 years before joining Shell Australia Limited. His 20 year career with Shell covered roles in most cities around Australia and a 3 year appointment in London. He was an Executive Director of Shell Australia Limited from 2003 to 2006 and was responsible for the Downstream Oil business across Australia and the Pacific Islands. He was also Chairman of Shell Fiji Limited and a director of the Australian Institute of Petroleum.
Phil is a non-executive director of Argosy Minerals Limited, GulfX Limited, Esperance Port Authority and Perth Home Care Services.

Craig Bromfield - WA Executive Manager
Craig Bromfield joined Coogee Chemicals at the end of 2006 as Business Development Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce.
Craig has 20 years of experience in the chemical industry which has included roles in process engineering, marketing and sales, business development and general management. He has either worked in, or been engaged in, a number of market sectors such as food & beverage, pharmaceutical & cosmetic, printing & packaging, and agrochemicals.
He is responsible for Manufacturing, Terminals and Transport Operations at Kwinana.
Craig is also a director of Australian Gold Reagents, a joint venture between Coogee Chemicals and CSBP, manufacturing sodium cyanide.

Tim Martin - Human Resources
Tim Martin has been a board member since 2000 and joined the company as a full-time executive in February 2005.
Prior to joining Coogee Chemicals he was an owner/manager of a wholesale food manufacturing company and also has experience with commercial property development.
Tim is Manager of Human Resources.

Dr David Dunne - Gas Chemicals
David Dunne joined Coogee Chemicals following the purchase of the Coogee Methanol Plant from BHP Petroleum in 2000. Before joining Coogee, David worked on a number or research and development projects for BHP including the development of offshore methanol production technology. Within Coogee he has managed the commercial operation of the Methanol Plant and was appointed a Director of Coogee Energy in 2003.

Jeff Muller - Queensland and NT Operations
Jeff Muller joined Coogee Chemicals following the acquisition of the Methanol Plant from BHP. Jeff worked on a number of BHP oil and gas projects including both project engineering and operations. He is responsible for the terminalling, manufacturing and transport as well as business development of Coogee Chemicals in Queensland and Northern Territory.

Colin Napier - Chief Financial Officer
Colin Napier is a Chartered Accountant who joined the Company in 1999 and is the Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all accounting, tax, banking, treasury and insurance issues as well as providing input into commercial issues and directing the corporate planning process. Prior to working at Coogee Chemicals, he had worked with a number of major accounting firms providing advisory services to a range of businesses including publicly listed entities.
Colin completed an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management in 2001. In addition to being CFO, he is also Company Secretary of Coogee Chemicals.

Dr Max Pitt - Coogee Chlor Alkali Operations Manager
Max Pitt joined Coogee Chemicals in 2007 when Coogee acquired the full ownership of the Coogee Chlor Alkali business. Max has 18 years direct technical and operational management experience of this business sector.
Max has a Ph.D. in physical chemistry and previously spent 20 years working in a variety of R&D manufacturing and project engineering roles within the explosives industry.

Mr Graham Vanstan - W.A. Tank Terminals Manager
Graham Vanstan has been involved in the chemicals industry for over 40 years. Graham joined Coogee Chemicals in 1973 and was involved in the maintenance and engineering departments until 1992 when he was appointed to the position of W.A. Tank Terminals Manager, a position he holds today.
Graham has been heavily involved in the planning, design, construction, development and safe operation of the Kwinana and Port Hedland terminals during that time.

Graeme Warden - Manufacturing & Maintenance Manager
Prior to joining Coogee Chemicals in 2006, Graeme Warden gained 19 years of experience in engineering and operations, primarily in the chemical and oil & gas sectors.
His expertise in engineering management, operations, maintenance, business development, plant optimisation and general management have provided a solid foundation for his current role, where he is responsible for Kwinana operations, maintenance, reliability and engineering.
In addition to his engineering qualifications, Graeme holds a Master of Business Leadership.

Brian Gardner - Process Improvement
Brian Gardner holds a bachelor of chemical engineering and has worked in chemical manufacturing operations for 15 years. He has been with Coogee Chemicals for the past 9 years and has worked extensively across the Kwinana and QLD operations. His current role focuses on process and business improvement across various operations.

Rob Hennessey - Transport and Logistics
Rob has been involved in the transport industry for over twenty five years - the past fourteen years involving bulk chemical transport operations. He is responsible for the road transport and logistics for Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd with his main role focussing on the core function of dangerous goods. Rob has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Curtin) and works with the Business Managers in terms of customer sales and relations.

Les Vogiatzakis - HSEQ
Les Vogiatzakis joined Coogee at the end of 2004, after nearly five years as a WA chemical industry regulator. He has the primary responsibility for overseeing the corporate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems within the Coogee group. His responsibility also extends to Community Affairs, and Security for the Kwinana business units. He has tertiary qualifications in the physical sciences, education, and OH&S, and is also a WA accredited dangerous goods consultant.

Dr Trevor Taylor - Business Manager - Mining, Services and Fertilisers
As Business Manager, Trevor Taylor and his team are enjoying the challenges to improve and develop the relations with our customers. The experience he has gained through managing all the Kwinana Operations and the Queensland Manufacturing facilities provides a strong background for managing the relationship between the internal operations and our customers’ needs. This included 5 years of very hands on management with a small team at a remote operation 500 km north of Perth.
Trevor brings over 20 years of experience in the Chemicals Industry with previous experience in the Photographic, Pharmaceutical and Steel Industries, spanning roles in R&D, Contracting, Line Management and Business Performance responsibilities.
