BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Gordon Martin, B.E (Chem) B.Ec FAICD FAIM FIChemE - (Chairman)
Gordon Martin has been involved in both the Private and Public Listed corporate sectors.
He has spent most of his working life in the Chemical and Resources industries in Coogee Chemicals, a private company where he is majority shareholder and now Non-Executive Chairman.
His involvement in the Public Listed sector has been as a Director of Burswood and as a Director of United Group.
In June 2006 Gordon was appointed Chancellor of Curtin University, a position from which he retired in January 2010.
Gordon was the inaugural Western Australian State President and a past National Vice President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). In 2005 he was awarded the Western Australian AICD Gold Medal Award and in 2008, the Ernst & Young’s “Champion of Entrepreneurship” for Western Australia.

Phil Thick, B.Eng (Hons) FAICD - (CEO and Director)
Mr Thick was appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director in 2007 and took over as CEO in August 2008. He holds an honours degree in civil engineering from the University of Western Australia.
Mr Thick worked as an engineer for Alcoa Australia Limited for 5 years before joining Shell Australia Limited. His 20 year career with Shell covered roles in most cities around Australia and a 3 year appointment in London. He was an Executive Director of Shell Australia Limited from 2003 to 2006 and was responsible for the Downstream Oil business across Australia and the Pacific Islands. He was also Chairman of Shell Fiji Limited and a Director of the Australian Institute of Petroleum.
Mr Thick is Chairman of Perth Home Care Services and Argosy Minerals Limited.

Liane Lied-Cordruwisch, B.Sc (Env.) P.Grad.Dp.Occ.HS - (Director and Marketing Manager)
Ms Lied-Cordruwisch joined Coogee Chemicals in 1993. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Environmental Science and a postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Ms Lied-Cordruwisch has worked in process development, management systems and HSEQ before becoming part of the Sales and Marketing team in 2005.

Tim Martin, B.Arts MBA GAICD - (Director and Manager, HR & Asian Operations)
Mr Martin is Executive Director and Manager of Asian Operations and Human Resources.
He was appointed as a Director in 2000 and has been an Executive Manager since February 2005.
Mr Martin was also a Non-Executive Director of related company Coogee Resources from June 2006, where he was a member of their risk and audit committee until the company was sold to PPTEP (the National Oil Company of Thailand) in January 2009.
He is currently Director Principal of a private company specialising in commercial property development, with existing business operations in Port Hedland, WA.
Mr Martin has previously worked as Managing Director for Portobello Products Pty Ltd (2000-2003), a wholesale food manufacturer, servicing and supplying retail supermarket chains and bulk catering companies in WA.

George Wilson, B.Acc, CA, GAICD - (CFO and Director)
Mr Wilson commenced as CFO in December 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Glasgow University, is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Wilson was previously Managing Director of a publicly listed financial services company and Chief Financial Officer of Burswood Limited. He has international business experience in the UK, Africa, the Middle East and India.

Peter Knowles, B.Ec MAICD - (Non-Executive Director)
Mr Knowles was appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director in 2004.
He is a professional Director who has over 36 years experience as an executive in the resources, agribusiness and chemical industries. He has held senior management positions within Rio Tinto and Wesfarmers Limited, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director of Wesfarmers CSBP Limited in 1994. He retired from that organisation in 2001 and spent the next seven years providing consulting services, predominantly to Rio Tinto
Mr Knowles is now the President of Activ Foundation Inc, and a non-executive director of the CBH Group.
