Health and Safety

The Coogee group benchmarks itself continuously across the chemical and manufacturing related businesses and continues to achieve one of the lowest safety and injury frequency rates across these industries.

This performance has also been underpinned with an overall reduction in Medically Treated Injuries (MTI) over the same period. The company has continued to reinforce existing Safety & Health initiatives as well as finalising a new behavioural safety program which it will be implementing over the coming months. All of these programs are designed to raise the level of overall safety awareness and performance across the company in an effort to reduce total injuries and incidents.

In addition to this, Coogee has now established an active “Health and Wellness” program to provide a proactive response to meeting employees’ requirements for a more healthy and active approach at work and at home. As part of this program, employees are encouraged to participate in voluntary health and fitness assessments through a health based incentive scheme as well as the provision of other services including QUIT program, free influenza vaccinations and free on site counselling services.
