The Coogee group benchmarks itself continuously across the chemical and manufacturing related businesses and continues to achieve one of the lowest safety and injury frequency rates across these industries.

This performance has continued to focus on reducing Medically Treated Injuries (MTI) and Lost Time Injuries (LTI) back to zero. The company has continued to reinforce existing Safety and Health initiatives as well as looking at new best practice initiatives going forward. All programs are designed to stimulate a positive safety culture across the company. This includes the implementation and internal/external audit of each business unit against the Coogee Corporate Safety Standard, where each business unit has been thoroughly audited by an independent Coogee audit team.

Coogee has continued to provide a proactive program so that employees’ requirements for a more healthy and active approach at work and home are supported. The services include voluntary health and fitness assessments, QUIT programs, free influenza vaccinations and free employee assistance programs. These are in addition to other proactive measures, including pre-employment medical evaluations, and a detailed drugs and alcohol policy for random testing of all employees and contractors.
